Accessibility

Our house is open... to everyone! The Swindon Arts Centre is proud to be a welcoming and accessible venue for all to enjoy. We will always endeavour to support all our patrons to access and enjoy our events. Below you can find a variety of information to help you plan your visit.

Infrared Listening System

We offer a wireless infra-red (Sennheiser) system for those who are hard of hearing. This technology uses an invisible infra-red light to connect the sound source and the listener. We provide two different types of Sennheiser infrared receivers to be worn by the listener, there is a choice between the stethoset type or necklace type. These items are free to collect from the Ticket Office.

Accessible seating

To purchase accessible seats, including wheelchair spaces please contact our Ticket Office on 01793 535534

For those who require assistance to attend either venue, we offer one complimentary carer ticket with your booking. (Verification is required).

We ask patrons with wheelchairs to note that Wheelchair spaces are designed for standard size wheelchairs – if you have a larger size wheelchair please advise when booking.

Toilet Facilities

We have two accessible toilets at the Arts Centre, situated just off the main foyer as you enter the venue.

Disabled Parking

The Arts Centre does not have its own car park but Brittania Place, a council-controlled car park is available near the venue.

Guide and Hearing Dogs

If you wish to take your dog into the venue's auditorium, please let us know when booking your ticket – we can then arrange an adjacent seat. Alternatively, dogs can be cared for by a member of staff.

Photo-sensitivity and Respiratory Conditions

For any performance containing strobe lighting, flashing lights, pyrotechnics, haze/smoke, and/or loud bangs/explosions, an announcement will be made over the tannoy. If this should concern you or a member of your party, please consult with a duty manager upon arrival.
